Captain Robert Ashler is a military vet who started his career in fishing in 2003. Originally from Destin , Florida, Robert grew up fishing and dreamed of making a living on the water. After his time in the Marines, he started charter and commercial fishing on the Backdown II in Destin. Holding a 100 ton master captains license, in 2009 he received an offer of a lifetime to join the crew of the Blacktip, a 61' custom Buddy Davis based out of Key West. For the next 11 years, Robert traveled to iconic fishing destinations fishing tournaments in the Caribbean, Gulf of Mexico and the Mid Atlantic aboard the Blacktip. In 2020 Robert decided to have more family time and take a break from the traveling. Relentless Sportfishing Charters L.L.C. was then created.
